James and Deundra Hundon not only love Martial Arts, they enjoy sharing their expertise and love of this art with everyone around them. They truly believe that martial arts is much more than simply a form of competition, a tool for winning trophies or to harm others. James, Deundra and their instructors believe martial arts is a way to help each and every individual to practice this ancient and respected tradition and discover what is truly good about themselves.

In unity we lift each other up in support of each other… At UMAA we foster respect and inclusion of people from all backgrounds, genders, abilities, and sexual orientations. To us, this is the true meaning of a family environment.
Strive to be your best each day and overcome any obstacle that may get in your way… UMAA believes never giving less than your best means you’re working hard to overcome obstacles in your life to go to the next level.
Empower yourself – empower your world… We believe we all have the power inside of ourselves to overcome and accomplish anything in life. Sometimes we just need help in tapping into our own inner strength.
Serious fun!… We take our training seriously, but we also have fun.
